The Nova vas Children's Library is located in a part of Maribor called Nova vas, on the right bank of the river Drava, in the immediate vicinity of The Nova vas Library. It is accessible for the physically handicapped and wheelchair users.

The library is open to children and adolescents up to the age of 15, who are exempt from paying the membership fee. You can borrow materials from all Maribor Public Library branches with your library card.

In addition to a wide range of books, newspapers, magazines, toys and modern media - CDs, DVDs with fiction, documentaries and animated films - you can also use personal computers in the library.

A special feature of the library is the Playroom, where children can borrow toys to take home free of charge.

The Nova vas Children's Library is an E-Library where PCs with access to the internet, Cobiss+, various electronic databases and a word processing programme are available free of charge. You can also print documents.

With your mobile devices (laptops, PDAs, other mobile devices) you can access the Internet free of charge via the Maribor Public Library Wi-Fi.

From October to May, every Thursday you are invited to Fairy Tale Hours, and every Friday you are invited to the Fairy Tale Playroom, where you can learn about fairy tales and play with toys from Toyteque. (Catalogue of recommended toys - in Slovenian)

During the winter and summer holidays, we will be organising themed fairy-tale fun holidays.
