The Večernica Award is a Slovenian literary prize awarded for the best original children’s or young adult literary work of the previous year. It has been awarded since 1998 and was established by the journal Otrok in knjiga/Child and Book and the publisher Franc-Franc (now Argo). The award’s sponsorship was taken over by the publishing company Večer (now Večer mediji d.o.o.)

The award is decided by a five-member jury, which includes representatives from the the journal Otrok in knjiga, Argo, Večer mediji d.o.o., the Slovene Writers’ Association, and the Association of Library Associations of Slovenia together with the Slovenian section of IBBY.
